Post 4- My favorite thing

Without a doubt, my favorite thing is my phone. I’ve had it for a few months, since I decided to change the one I had because it wasn’t working very well. I use my phone for many things: to communicate with my friends and family, listen to music, watch series, take photos, and check my social media. I also use it to study, search for information, and organize my tasks. It’s a very practical tool that goes with me everywhere. I use it every day, from the moment I wake up until before I go to sleep, often without even realizing it. It’s almost impossible to spend a day without it because it helps me with so many things and keeps me connected to the world. Especially now that I study far from my family, it helps me stay in touch with them. I like my phone because it makes my life easier and keeps me close to the people I love, even when they are far away. It also allows me to capture important memories in photos or videos, since pictures are the most beautiful living memories we keep from...

My animal is the penguin.   Penguins are marine birds that cannot fly, but they have a body adapted for swimming. They are medium-sized, with black backs and wings and white chests. Their wings are modified into flippers, which allow them to move very quickly underwater. They mainly feed on fish, krill, and squid. They live in cold regions of the Southern Hemisphere, especially in Antarctica, although they are also found in places like Chile, Argentina, South Africa, and New Zealand. They spend most of their time in the water but return to land to reproduce and take care of their chicks. One of the greatest dangers penguins face is climate change, which melts sea ice and reduces their breeding and feeding areas. They also suffer from ocean pollution and overfishing, which decrease the amount of food available. I like penguins because they are very cute, sociable, and loyal animals. A curious fact is that penguins choose only one mate for life; each summer, they reunite with ...

Blog 2: My opinions

What is your opinion about buying and not adopting pets? Buying instead of adopting can irresponsibly increase overpopulation without considering the well-being of animals, leading to consequences such as abuse and the overexploitation of certain breeds. Adopting, on the other hand, gives many animals in need a new chance at a home and contributes to social welfare. Adoption will always be the most supportive, compassionate, and heartfelt option. What is your opinion about animal testing? Animal testing is a complex issue since it has enabled important medical advances, but at the same time, it involves suffering and the exploitation of innocent animals. Today, there are more ethical alternatives, such as cell cultures or computer simulations. Moving toward them is essential to reduce animal pain and promote more responsible science that takes into account those living beings who cannot express their pain through words. What is your opinion about cloning? Cloning is a controversial top...

Blog Post 1- This is me

Hello everyone! My name is Josefa Morales Espinoza, I am 19 years old, a Pisces, and I am currently in my second year of Veterinary Medicine. I am originally from Talca, known as the city of “completos mojados” hahaha, but now I live in Ñuñoa, Santiago, with my uncles. I decided to study this career because I have always felt a deep affection for animals and, thanks to my pets (whom I miss a lot), I discovered my true vocation. In the future, I would love to work in a zoo with more exotic species. As for my personal interests, I am the number one fan of sushi and I really enjoy sleeping. In my free time, I like reading, watching series, visiting museums and exhibitions. I consider myself an organized person, and also quite sociable and extroverted, as long as I feel comfortable.
